Black Hawk County, IA -- Black Hawk County residents are invited to attend an upcoming town hall to learn more about the property assessment process.
Town Hall Dates:
- Tuesday, June 24 at 5:30 p.m.
Waterloo Public Library, 415 Commercial Street, Waterloo - Wednesday, June 25 at 5:30 p.m.
Cedar Falls Public Library, 524 Main Street, Cedar Falls
Please note: The sessions will focus specifically on urban residential property assessments, not on property tax calculations. Additional meetings are planned for a later date to address rural residential and agricultural property values.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain a clearer understanding of how assessed property values are determined and how they fit into the property tax process. The sessions will also provide information about available tax credits and exemption programs for homeowners.
