[ARCHIVED] County Auditor Provides Election Reminders

Black Hawk County voters are reminded the November 4 election is almost here.

 

Early Voting:
Available at the Black Hawk County Courthouse through the rest of the week and Monday, November 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

Election Day Voting:
Voters must go to their assigned polling location. Find your polling location at the Black Hawk County Elections website https://blackhawkcountyelections.iowa.gov/

 

Returning Mailed Ballots:
Mail-in ballots must be received by 8:00 p.m. on election night. A secure drop box is located outside the courthouse for convenience.

 

Voter Registration:
If you need to register to vote and cast your ballot, you may do so at the courthouse or on Election Day. Voters must provide a valid ID and proof of residency.

 

Voter ID Requirement:
All voters, whether voting early or on Election Day, must present a valid form of identification to receive their ballot. For more information on acceptable voter ID, visit https://blackhawkcountyelections.iowa.gov/vote/id/

 

County Auditor Statement:
 “Every vote counts and participating in our elections is one of the most important ways residents can have their voices heard,” said Karen Showalter, Black Hawk County Auditor. “We encourage all eligible voters to make a plan and exercise their right to vote.”
