The Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors held a public event unveiling the County’s new Strategic Plan on Tuesday, August 26.

The three-year plan provides a framework to guide decision-making, services, and investments. Developed with input from staff, community leaders, and residents, it reflects a shared vision and priorities for the future of Black Hawk County.

“This plan represents months of thoughtful work by County Government leaders with input from community organizations and the public at large," said Tavis Hall, Chair of the Board of Supervisors. “Their efforts ensured that voices from across the community were heard and considered in shaping the future direction of Black Hawk County.”

During the event, board members highlighted the planning process, introduced the new Mission and Values, and outlined next steps for implementation. The Strategic Plan was formally adopted earlier that day during the Board of Supervisors’ regular 9 a.m. meeting.
